Couldn't find any burlap bags that I liked so I bought some burlap got out staple gun,... and painted my own up!

Frame horns?

Are you sure those frame horns arn't the bugs antenni ?
I like the looks of the bed but I know how you drive, so ya better use Gorilla tape or since that cardboard started life as a tree you could use a "stick" welder ![

Finally got some time off from work, finished rewiring dang thang fired right up no crossed wires ( I think motor might be running backwards) Oh it does run backwards that's why its in the back.

Got to looking for the back of truck cabs to make mine out of and decided the roof from the bug would give me the curved side veiw that I was looking for.

Installed Bamboo Beach Mats for door panels (cheaper and lighter than aluminun) plus it goes with the burlap

spot welding 101

I am the worlds second worst welder, but I am getting pretty good at spot welding sheet metal,........sorta [ doesn't look prudy but it holds!

less body work

You can't tell by looking at the pics but the rain gutter on the roof was left on and the side panels of the body are spot welded to them and I plan the grind then down leaving the gutter. Not only will this look finished it will save me from doing any Bondo (cause I am also the the world's 2nd worst body man)

Well there's a source for bucket roadster bodies! I like the motor hanging out in back without a bed myself tho scruffy and unfinished looking i know.

It's going to be a nice rod finished...just too bad you had to cut up such a nice donor to start.....Here on the East Coast, the bodies are usually pretty far gone....
