Minneapolis-Moline made about 150 Comfortractors between May and November of 1938. By 1940, only about 100 had been sold; the rest went back to the Minneapolis-Moline factory in Hopkins, Minnesota, where those 50 or so tractors lost their sheetmetal and were reverted to base Model U tractors. Of the 100 Comfortractors, nearly 80 are accounted for today, and maybe 25 of those are in restored or roadworthy condition.
For the serious collector $175k is chump change but you don't sell something like that on D-bay. A couple years back I went to a antique farm equipment and tractor show and there was an old steam drive valued at $400k (unrestored but working)
