Ok, it's tomorrow already.......I'm sure there's more than just me waiting on the scoop! We need details. Lol.
Dig the tire tread on the heavy 'binder.
You said you bought 5... am I missing something? The Buick?
.
IHC, Jailbar, Merc M68, Yellow ford cab, GMC cab and clip, The Buick is so grown in and surrounded by old combines I'd need a helicopter to get it out.
Gotcha. I get confused when the count goes past three.
The y-block is interesting... how do you know it's a Lincoln?
.
I don't think it is a Lincoln Y-block, just an ordinary Ford. The Lincoln would have double ribs cross-ways on either side of the holddown nuts for the valve covers.
I'm a big fan of both the '42-'47 trucks and the Y-block motors, so you have my vote.
Dads '37 Ford still has two of those aggressive tread tires on, Dr. C, from hauling on the Alaska highway when they were building it.
An older wiser friend of mine said he thought it was a Lincoln Y block because it has a four barrel barb and the air cleaner. Myself I have no idea.[S
Older maybe... Lots of 292 and 312 engines had 4 barrels. No Y block was ever that color AFAIK (so probably rebuilt or at least painted) and the gold air cleaner is probably 58 or newer.
Interesting. Does the Y-block turn, Dozer?
Good to see you, Mac. Do you have your father's '37???
