After my first failed attempt at getting into a pre-60s car I think Im redeaming myself. Working a deal on a 47 chevy in trade for my Nova. Pretty excited about this one as its pretty close to driveable. Down fall is its about 6 hrs away. I have one pic in an email but have no idea how to get it from there to here.

Didnt think this would spark this much interest. Some more details: 47 coupe body mounted on a 69 chevelle chassis, 400/th350, was driven until a brake hose broke a few months ago and also needs a radiator & battery. I like the idea of having a chassis that you can still get parts for almost anywhere and it looks as if they did a decent job of mounting the body.

What year is the nova?

1978. Was looking for an older one but this one was cheap and set up for bracket racing. Thought it would be fun to play around with and its not a bad car but after some thinking over the past year or so I realized I never was a muscle car guy. [S

Truthfully I'd love to find (if I had the extra money) a car like that so I could cruise with the entire family! I have 3 kids. Good luck with it and post some pics of it!!

Here's mine. 48 Olds, but same base sheet metal.

Where in Illinois are you located?

I like how the Buick, Olds and Pontiacs have the ridge on the tops of the fenders. Just ads a little something. Yours looks to be in decent shape. Nice

Im in Machesney Park. Its north of Rockford.
