Camper repair, gotta finish this up for next week...

Looks like a lot more fun than it really was. Had a lot of help from my father as we were under a time constraint to get the new vent in and sealed up before the evening dew...

I've learned a bit about how these pop-ups are put together, and I know that I do not want to work on a leaking roof again this extensively... I do believe that once the roof has sagged, its real tough to get that roof bowed properly afterwards...

If I ever do it again, I will have to cut the top of the bow on a nice curve, and leave the bottom flat in order to get it to re-bow the roof...

Found some cleaner that is for boat seats at General RV that took almost all the water stains/mildew stains off the white fabric on the inside of the vinyl too :)

Anyhow, pics of the carnage...

Bumper Bash over the 4th

I replaced the bashed up bumper cover on my daily driver.

I picked up a replacement months ago, finally got the paint, got it painted, got it clear coated, 1st time I've ever used hardner in pain and WOW what a difference! I think it turned out pretty good, I'm feeling better about touching up the other oops from the previous owner now that I can actually make paint match! [cl

Rebuilt my deck and got it stained, next, new gazebo and hot tub. Then an addition to the shop, and maybe then I get to work on some project cars. We'll see if life will leave me alone long enough.

On top of the car projects I have been working on my house. Gutted this room because there was never any insulation in the 3 exterior walls. New sheetrock/insulation/wiring/trim and hardwood floors.

I blew the tranny in my Studebaker showing off for friends on the 4th. what a dummy..........:mad:

Been there... done that... except I laid my rear end all over the street! Heard this horrible noise in the rear of the car & looked in my rear view & saw gears & grease all over the road!!! Then a car came & started sliding in the grease & nearly hit me! Oh yeah... I felt SO kooool!!!:eek::eek:

I prefer electric fans because of the HOT weather here in Tejas & the fan on my Nova was not operating properly & finally gave up the ghost! I started using Derale controller kits a while back & have been using them every since... $37 @ Summit. I like them because they are SO easy to install, look good installed & work like a charm. Removed the old fan & got the new one on (Spal 16" puller) & will finish the install after I get some other farm chores done! I'll post a foto of the final wiring install when I git 'er done!

Besides wranglin' snakes I've started getting my shop ready for my next build. Got the area around my welding table cleared out & did a lil welding to see if I still had the touch... I do... well probably! It's been just a lil cooler here Tejas & with fall coming soon I'm looking forward to spending more time in the shop cuttin', beatin', grindin', weldin' etc! And throw in a lil toppin' choppin'!!!

Since I've been driving the Nova more lately I've started to notice lil things I need to adjust/fix. The mufflers were rattling so I decided to crawl on under there & git with it! When I jacked it up I noticed a gas leak in the filler neck. The clamp was too big on the rubber section & I just happened to have the right size in my tool box (what a surprise)! Got that fixed first & the passenger side hanger had broken so I got it welded back up & no more rattles (rattles drive me insane)! Gonna hit the shower & go fer a cruise now... yipppeee!!!
