I've been cleaning up the yard and getting ready for winter. To add to the changes I have bought an old combine harvester. After I took the swath pickup off the combine, I mounted the straight cut gizmos; reels, knife, driving mechanisms, and knife guards. This combine has been in a shed for almost fifty years, so I had to put it back in my machine shed. Well, there was no more room in the shed so I had to drag out a few old cars and move an old truck to make room for everything. One more '50 Ford got dragged out, a '33 Plymouth got moved outside and a '47 Ford pickup got turned slanty-wise.

Figured out where to mount my radiator and found a lower hose that will work. I was a little worried about that. Bought some bias ply tires so I can ditch the radials. Redoing my trans Xmember now because I wasn't happy with my 1st attempt. There are a lot of things I've done 2 or 3 times on this car.

Pretty much any free moment I am working on our 1 weekend bath remodel we started in March.
 Wife had knee replacement surgery in mid December so still doing DR appointments and PT. FYI to those not retired we have no weekend. Everyday IS a weekend day. (y) Jim

Nuttin! I din't do nuttin. Again!

What day of the week is it again? Its too cold. Its snowing. I think I have a Dr appointment. The sun is out. Its too nice to be working. I'm going for a ride. We might get freezing rain. It might snow again. It might get cold again. Something hurts. I'm too lazy. I'm too busy with unimportant things. Can I blame my wife? I didn't retire just to work all the time. Got nothing I want to do that can't wait until spring. Did I mention I was lazy? OOO! There is an indoor car show Sat, I better save up my energy for it...

Pick any poor excuse you think might be correct, and I will go along with it...:D

Wait till you start forgetting what day it is...

I'm still not done but since last weekend me and my great neighbors have been steady reducing that huge oak tree that fell during hurricane Milton to sticks and stumps, then cleaned up the large holly tree that got smashed underneath it. Two tractors and three guys worked all day Saturday and Jr and I worked about 6 hours yesterday trying to get the fence restored enough to contain my dog. I was disappointed that I didn't get to use much of the wood for the mill due to metal imbedded in it which makes it a no go for the mill. I saved a short section of trunk to be used for a base for a large anvil that a couple of buddys keep bragging about having. I made them both a knife for hunting a while back and didn't accept anything for them. One of them asked me to make another knife for him the other day, which I did, but also made one for his dad too. I'm hoping to do some horse trading for that big anvil! I'm still cleaning up the debris and need to finish some last details on the fence and gate so have not taken pix. I will when I'm done. I hooked my tractor to a hunk of the trunk, maybe 5 or 6 feet long to move it out to the barn and the tractor did a wheel stand, but eventually tugged it out. By now the edge of the lake out back has turned to churned up mud and there is a well defined road into the area from dragging huge limbs and chunks out but it will get cleaned up better when the water recedes a little more. We had to crawl out over the water, chain to the limbs, lop them off and drag them out thru the water so it's been a process just to remove one tree. I'm almost done....literally!
