Went to a funeral for a life long friend of my folks and life long friend of mime. Also reminds me that I have too much stuff. I don’t want my stuff turning into junk that is my kids burden.
After all this talk I am going to make an effort to get rid of as much as possible. I hate to throw things away. I would rather give the stuff away. My Dad was a bottle collector. I have a bunch of boxes of them and it isn't my thing. I have a book and I will go through to see if there are any very special ones and if not there is a local bottle collecting FB page I'll be getting in touch with to come get them. My Pop would like that. Jim

It is a great reminder for sure. Life is short and we take no "stuff" with us. (A lot of campfire talking there!) Invest in others giving them some joy/happiness. I just gave my son-in-law an '87 Toyota truck he's been wanting for a while now. Did I have plans for it? Oh yes. Does he enjoy it now more than I could've? Without a doubt yes. It's a win-win for both of us! (One thing less in the yard that is taking up limited mental hard-drive space! 🤪 :ROFLMAO: )

Headed out of the old lease property!

Got the '30 moved to it's new home last night!!! Did have to use a shoe horn to get it in the garage so now I must get creative with space and arrangement until I can get my shop built!

Moving.... We had a house out in the country, it had a 24 x 36 garage that was so packed with parts, I only had a single work stall. We lived there 16 years, put it on the market and it sold in 7 days. The guy wanted it in 30 days! Fortunately, I was renting a 40 x 60 building in town. With recruited help, I hauled 10 pickup and car trailer loads of good parts out of the garage in the country, but I ended up scrapping stuff I didn't have time to move. 6,600 lbs of mostly big block Mopar drive train parts!

Then 3 years later, I moved from the 40 x 60 building into a 24 x 30 garage and a 24 x 24 garage with a 6.5' ceiling. I had to be able to work in the 24 x 30 garage. I hauled off another 3 truck and trailer loads of stuff to scrap.

Yea, moving sucks.
We have been here for 22 years. Someone else is going to move us from here.
Gene....you have 6.6 foot ceilings?????? So do I!!!!!!

He guys! I'm new to the group and thought I'd try to chime in. So to keep with the current topic in the thread, I've been hammering hard on and spending the money on my space as well. Insulation, shiplap, drywall and corrugated steel is the name of the game for me. Lots of time and money for sure!

The build I've got in the works, is using a 1955 Ford C-700 "Big Job". I have a 350 chev and th400 pushing it on topkick axles. Plan is to make a tall stubby pickup out of it with a bed that can easily lift off for cab-n-chasis look.

Excited to be here guys and gain some wisdom!
