I have always said I have vehicle A.D.D. and have different ideas all the time for off the wall builds. If you didn't have time and money constraints what would you build? can be anything.

Mine are,

1 a hummer H3 twin turbo lowered and set up as a road race truck

2 all wheel drive ls1 T bucket

3 the usual street rods ie; A tudor, 32 coupe, 34 coupe etc

4 HHR RWD with an ls1 (I know it has been done)

5 60 cad coupe deville black w/ air ride and a white int

6 MGBGT ls1 6 spd w/ flares D/green with white race circles on it

7 IMSA style RX7 the ones with the foot wide flares and a big wing only w/v8 power

dreams of steel

1. street legal 1960's style jalopy race car, 1930 something coupe full cage, no fenders with hood.

2. street legal 1960 coushman, pro-streeted, honda magna motoor, 18.5 rear M/T d.o.t slicks.

3. ford 1961 to 1963 uni-body truck and chop into a 3/4 scale hot-rod.

4. V-8 mid-engine 1965 corvair.

5. divco dairy delivery/milk trucks--one hot-red and lowered with graphics painted on the side, set it on an art morrision chassis, ls7 powered and every modern convience installed for a driver. collect and restore or customize and hot-rod depending on the condition and get every one l could find to buy.

6. several custom made car haulers- stretched 4-door 1935 diamond-t flatbed, a coe flatbed with matching little truck on the back, 1940 style big semi-truck with matching rolling car shop behind, think nascar/nhra type rigs, all having modern running gear and chassis. tour around the country in them.

7. 4 200 X 200 storage/show buildings. one that looks like a old time log lodge, one to resemble a train station, one air-plane hanger and one that looks like a 1800's old red barn with a painted ''got milk'' sign just for the divco's.

8. a fully equiped shop with any thing you will ever need, 500 x 500, fully staffed to build you and your'e friends almost any thing you want.

Later

yes year one did one and there was another that was built at the same time. All 4 shops had car given to them from GM when they came out and were asked to build what they wanted for SEMA that year. way cool!

Here's mine, read at least the first page to check out the drama by "4Mogger".
Awesome build! whole thing just sits right with excellent proportions. I always love the E-haters on the other sites. They usually get their own in the end though. Nice work.

Well...I've got a few bouncing around in my head, but two of them are 66 67 Nova based. One is to take the Corvette suspension I'll be picking up shortly and tuck it neatly underneath and make a pro touring car. The other one is take a wagon and make a "real" El Camino style car....two door coupe doors and quarters adapted to the wagon, but instead of just hacking off the roof like some have done in the past, take a coupe roof (sloped rear window) and shorten that up to fit the proportions of the car

that's close

that is kinda close, here's one l found l want to do a tribute to dad.
l want to make it street legal.

it's 1930 model A ford dirt car, we called them jalopy's. it's set up for a sbc and he wants $2,5.00. l need to find a way raise the money some how and go pick it up for a winter project after l finish jimmy's truck.

thanks RoddingRon for the pics of the 32,

Thats cool. I always wondered why people have no problem swapping axles and doing an IFS to solid axle swap in a 4x4 but then won't take on building a suspension or frame for a street rod. I think if you can do one you can figure out the other easily enough. [;)

well a few come to mind......
1. a traditionally styled 32 roadster, fenderless & flathead powered, w-bias plys the whole 9 yrds.......

2. a 32 coupe w/ a hemi--not to sound too bad, but gastricks coupe comes to mind:D:cool:

3. the rest of my dream builds would be to just get built all the old cars that belong to the family....including

a 57 pontiac 2 dr was mom & dads car when they got married
a 57 ford wagon for the wifey
the 61 unibody for my son, with a 62 chevy 2 60's drag car on a period styled trailer behind it

Well, if you say wildest; I have these builds in my head that could only happen if I had way more money than sense, and after I had all my other cool builds out of the way.

1. build a rice burner, I can't stand rice burners so this would be my way of poking fun at them, I would put a big block in a little honda, and have big slicks up front just like a traditional rice drag car, the trick is it would be set up to drive backward down the strip(steering would be at rear, seat facing the rear) , This puts the slicks in the back where they should be! I just think it would be funny

2. I had a yukon back in the day, I think it would be so trick to set it up as a drifting vehicle. I would run a supergarged or turboed set up and do all the suspension and strip the interior; Its the american way, it would be bigger and badder than any little jap crap drifting around.

3. Now this one pokes fun of the weekend worrier bikers that think chrome is an essential part of all bikes and put chrome where it shouldn't be and ruin a good looking bike; I would build a bike that was completly chrome, frame, tank, fenders, everything I could.

These are the wildest(maybe stupid, lol) builds, all the other builds I have in my head are pretty traditional

I,ve always wanted to build a front engine Bug, BB where you sit in the backseat area to drive. And have the body lift up funny car style to get to the engine. Street legal. Maybe some day.

 You don't want to tap into the madness here trust me on that one......

LOL :D:D

hahaha! I've seen pics of your back yard! I can only imagine!

yea I thought of a prius tubbed with a blown BBC sticking out of the hood. Think I could get a tax rebate still for the "hybrid"?

how about a full on drift 32 highboy with a hemi and zoomies? I would imagine the asian crowd would be horrified!

Looks like a killer build. Lots of good info on there but also a bunch of jerk offs. That's why i never posted much on there when i was into rock crawling.

It must be the red neck in me but i've always wanted to build a Fox body Mustang 4x4. And not a pimped out mall crawler but a hard core rock crawler.

Yea, but real rock crawlers don't have bodies:D
