My furnance died last night. Guess it was due. Installed in 68'. :(

Read BLUE's 40' Dodge PU build and thought, "Jeez, the furnance is gonna cost more than what he has in his truck."

Checked prices for a furnance. About $2000.....What could you do for $2000?

I am with you. When I have the Propane truck come out and deliver gas to us, it cost $600 or more. Other day to day bills are taking away from my project money!

Gasser not much these days.Everything keeps going up and the pay stays idle.

With the way the economy has been we are lucky here to still have our homes.I hope it turns around soon.I dont know how much longer we will be able to live like this if it does not turn around.

$2000, a lot. I don't have a whole lot yet though. Our house is super tiny and so is our payment (well....compared to most people....still more then rent). Do you want a list of stuff I'd buy........it's long :p.

Unfortunately, $ 2000 doesn't go far any more. It constantly amazes us how much it costs just in little stuff like bolts, nuts, and sandpaper. Dan was just saying today he bought $ 120 worth of grinding supplies to do his frame and is getting low already.

This car building stuff isn't the cheapest hobby out there. Fishing is looking better all the time. :D:D

i agree with that man, it feels like a couple times a year i have to drop 100 bucks on what amounts to consumables- shop towels, car cleaning supplies, spray paint, sand-paper, grinding wheels, and the list goes on.

It's now a grand total of $8K. What could you do for $8K........

For 8k I could build 4 trucks, and sell 3 of them, then build more ;)

I should be well under $2000 with my build, although I had a couple of friends that gave me some free parts.. Without them I would not be building this right now

Sorry to hear about the furnace.. and now the air :(

Ohh the A/C was one of the best investments that I ever made.On those real hot summer days. You get home from work and its like walking in to the fridge. Not to mention sleeping at night on those days are the best.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When we had those hot, humid days during this last summer, I wanted to go to work to sleep. I have a couch, pillow and blanket in my office. ;)
