I pulled the banjo rear end out from under my truck. It is a complete 1936 Ford pickup rear end. I looked at numbers on housing and it is a 411 rear end. I am thinking about selling it to help fund my build. Problem is I don't what it's worth. I looked here RRR and several places but no banjo rear ends for sale. I know it's worth what someone will pay. As the old saying goes. I have no idea what they sell for. Any help about the price or places to find value of rear end appreciated.

Hard to put an exact figure on it, depending on location and how bad some prospective buyer needs it.

Here is what I would do. Put it on Ebay and put in your title 1936 FORD REAR AXLE/HOT RAT ROD/________________. That blank section is for you to put in the State you live in. (I found this is helpful on heavy, non shippable items) Put a picture in the Gallery, and run it for 3 days with a reserve of maybe $ 300. I think $ 300 is the max I have seen these sell for, so that would be a reasonable number to me.

Then see what happens. You might go over that figure or not, but it is a good indicator of what the thing is actually worth. Actual worth is what someone will dig into their pocket for, not what you THINK the item is worth. What hurts an item like this is you have to find that ONE buyer in YOUR area who will come and pick it up.

But if I saw one of these locally and the width was right (What size truck was it out of?) I would pay $ 300.

Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks for the information. It's a complete rear end with wishbones and 2 wheels. It has torque tube and drive shaft. About as complete as you will find one. Came out of a 1936 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. I thought maybe $300 was a good asking price. When I decide to sell it I'll put on the parts for sale section.
