I want to build a 31-32-33-34-35-36 Ford fenderless rod with a late model hemi. What's a good frame to start with?

Ford Ranger?
Chevy S10?
or Dodge Dakota? Im a novice so bear with my lack of knowledge.

Thanks

i like the s-10 frame ,but a 31 frame is farely easy to build from 2x3 tubbing if you want something with more of the old look, with a strait axle.
The s-10's are the fastest easyest way to get on the road and can be lowwerd easily too.but may not give the desired look that your after.
Kinda depnds on the stance ,the front wheels will most likely be too close to the cab in some cases.

NONE OF THE ABOVE!!! Late model IFS chassis look HORRIBLE under anything fenderless. Do the research and build yourself a suitable chassis. It's really the only way to go. Not the easiest, but if it was easy everybody would be doing it...

Yeah, agreed.

If you are using a mid 30s car you could probably modify the original frame, as long as your not talking about a flimsy Model A frame. That's assuming you have the frame of course....

Build your own frame, Here's a few sites that have FREE plans :D

This is good site..

http://jackak10.tripod.com/tbucket.html

How to align a frame, install bodies & fenders & other information
including Model A Frame dimensions:
I like this site because it shows where all the body mounts go and holes
for motor mounts and brackets.

Or try this site:

Good Luck

(ps: please don't use a truck frame, the IFS makes a rod look like total CRAP)
