Skip,
This Silver Dollar is just fair condition wise. Should be worth $350 to $550.
If I had any that were worth over $100,000 I dang sure wouldn't stick it on a gear shifter.
I got my $25 [each] seats installed today. U Pull It specials. I had a hard time finding some that weren't electric to fit my KISS mentality. Seats are out of a mid sized Ford Explorer.
Also made an extension for my shifter and finished the installation of it.
Life has gotten in the way lately. I seem to be in a funk. Friends are passing away right and left.
My mother isn't doing well.
My new hip is giving me hell-o.
My daughter in law had an infection and blood clots after surgery and went into cardiac failure after going home. Thank God my son was there and knows CPR and was able to save his wife and my grand kids mother!
I have made some progress on the Willys tho. Maybe things will level off and I can get back in the swing of things.
I got the brake booster and master cylinder in its place. Got the stop and go pedals just right.
Steering shaft out of the '08 Dodge one ton modified to fit.
Got a new shiny steering column installed and fitted to my liking.
A center console with a couple of cup holders and a hidden cubby hole underneath.
Got the sun visors in place and made an over head switch panel and installed.
Then took it all apart and did the finish welding on the frame.
Sand blasted and primed it.
Paint the frame tomorrow then the much dreaded body work starts.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Glad there getting better [cl
The interior looks great, really like the center council
Sending good vibes from the west side.
Sorry to hear of the rough patch you have been through and are still in. Don't be ashamed of spending time in the shop, it's good therapy for the body and soul.
Life ain't easy at it's best but all this nonsense is hard on this old guy.
Thanks for the thoughts.
Got the frame painted a dark gray [or is it grey?] instead of the same old black.
Now when I put stuff on it hope fully I won't have to be taking it off again.
Tomorrow I can put the engine/transmission back in for 3rd or 4th time.
Nice work on the frame Pops.
You only have to worry about the vowel in grey/gray if you live near the 49th parallel. You are at least a thousand miles into the 'gray' zone.
Keep on tinkering.
Thanks guys for the interest.
I managed to get the engine installed hopefully for the final time. It looked like an awful long distance from the transmission mount to the tail shaft out put. It would probably be fine but I decided to mess the paint up by making and installing a removable cross member for the tail end.
All I lack is finishing!!! Still hoping to get there by Christmas.
We'll see how that works out for me.
Grey is good! It's what I did on the Packard. You're probably right on the extra crossmember, if you get into some heavy stuff in 4 wheel, it could do some damage, lots of twisty forces working on it. [cl[P
