HR....was wondering about the waterpump set up..

I have never seen that set up before....who makes it and why is it required to use? Maybe a dumb question but honestly, I've never seen it used....? [S

That is a Zips water pump riser .uses a 6 cyl. chevy pump. reason for using is to raise fan up 5" to center better in radiator. on the stock location I can only use 13" fan to clear lower hose. now I can use a 16" fan. this set up also has mounts for alt. and ac compresor. they have been making these since the 70's. hope that answered your questions. thanks for looking.

taking some time off this week so I can make some money.working on a cusomers car . installing disc brakes on a 64 biscayne.

Guess my experience with those type rides is a bit weak..... certainly makes sense....had not seen one in use that I can remember so it was a mystery to me...now...I'm better educated..:D... you learn something new every day....[cl

Ok got my belts and a fan on .hoses on ps ran.scored a free alternator at my sons salvage.waiting to get radiator back from shop .gettin wiring under dash finished.installing the wire harness is fairly easy just time consuming.gettin closer every day to startin this thing up.found a local guy to bend some pipe so I can get exhaust built, planing to make some cutouts dumping under front fenders, probably start that next week

hey thanks guys.goinin to try and take it to a car show at the local drag strip this weekend .may not make it though got a lot of work this week .and I need to put rear brakes on my dually, before we head off to Heartland park for our yearly fix of nitromethane.

while trying to get the engine tuned the fuel pump quit.I was running an efi pump in the tank. took the tank out it was empty. I needed to try to fix the fuel guage sender anyway. I also decided to swap to an external holley pump .removed the efi pump, replaced with a piece of 3/8 tubing down to where original pickup point was and clamp a strainer to the end.then fabed a bracket and rock sheild for the pump.and had one line made up.
