    Freebie

The guys at the granite shop across the way dropped this off for free. They had picked it up for free from a guy that moved out of the business park about 8 years ago and never used it.

    Wiper Blades

Wiper Blades have sure seemed to get expensive. I needed a set for my 2012 F450 the other day. It's hard to get out the door for less than 45 a pair all in. But, I did. I put the passenger blade on the drivers side and made it home. I logged on to Rock Auto and got a total 14 blades for 3 cars...

    Exhaust pipe expanding

Does anyone have a trick for expanding steel exhaust pipe? I've never been a fan of those expanding tools with all the fingers held together with o-rings. I do have a couple though......just don't like em'.

    Hydromatic floor shifter

I'm looking for an aftermarket floor shifter for a 1950's Hydromatic. Some of the popular brands were the Ansen posimatic, Sparkomatic power shift and roller shift. Dragfast, Eelco, Foxcraft, Fenton, Shiftmaster and the Holy Grail Hurst Dual Gate of which they only made a dozen or so. These are...

    Quick Question

I posted this on my 27 Roadster Build but thought it might be more appropriate here. I need to install 3.5" drop steering arms on the spindles so the center drag link will go below the wishbone radius arms. In order to install them, I'll need to cut the stock steering arms off the forged stock...

    A Friends 32 roadster

I stopped my friend Shroggys today to check out the 32 roadster he recently bought and has been working to sort out a bunch of small stuff on. His goal is to drive it to the Cars and Coffee in on the 12th. He rattle canned the paint job and it looks really good. While I was there, I couldn't...

    WHAT?

Pretty sure I need some help in the hearing department. In the past year there's been plenty of red flags but, I just keep ignoring them. Then yesterday I was working on a project I've been fighting with for months. (DIY fuel injection on an old Volvo motor.) I've been trying to figure out why I...

    Prescott Car Club

Yesterday my wife and I were in Prescott AZ. I had a Home Depot list and needed a haircut. My wife went to Sprouts or as I call it, "The Museum of Fruits and Vegetables." As luck would have it, when we pulled into Sprouts, a car show was happening. So needless to say, I missed the museum. I'd...

Giant ball of fire in the sky?

January here in NW Colorado has been bleak. Finally today the sun came out. I can honestly only remember 2 days all month with sun. We're at around 305 inches of snow and they're saying we could hit 500". In the 30 years I've lived here I've only seen 6 winters over 400". Here's some pics. 4...

    De-Greaser

What's the best de-greaser these days? I used to grab Gunk brand a long time ago and it did a pretty good job but, not long ago I bought some and it didn't seem like it worked as good as it used to. I saw someone here using oven cleaner the other day, might have been lowbudget? I'd think that's...

    cars and coffee today

This is only the second one I've been to this season. Even though there's one every other Saturday, it seems like I'm always busy or out of town. Anyway the turn out was a really good. . I thought the 1969 RS SS Z27 convertible pace car was probably the coolest thing there. It was a small block...

    1927 Roadster

Hey guys, I've been gone for at least a year or more. I had to put my car addiction on the back burner so I could work on a couple dozen construction projects the misses asked me to finish. So now I'm nearly finished and I'm itching to start a new car project. Ever since I joined this forum...

    Valhalla Samurai

Because it's a Samurai with an old Volvo engine in it. We've had it for about 15 years. For about 4 of the last 5 1/2 years it was the dingy we tow on our camping and overland adventures. When we got it, the only upgrades done were an SPOA conversion and 31" tires....and the Volvo engine, a...

    Wildfire!

It's been a hot dry Summer this year in Colorado. Nowhere near the number of fires as they have out in California but this one started up yesterday. It's in the Zirkel Wilderness. As the crow flies it's about 10 miles from our home on Deer Mountain in Steamboat Springs. Earlier today it was 600...

    Last started ?? years ago

I have this old Massey Ferguson backhoe (1979) that I have not started for several years. I'd like to get it going again but know very little about diesels. So, I'm posting today to see if there is anything I should be looking out for when I go to start it. I checked the fuel and it looks like...
