That looks like a pretty cool idea there, looks from the pics that you took the skin, separated it and you are moving it out to remove the taper, and filling in the wheel well, and possibly tail section?

I moved the back of the inner wheel well in. it has been a little harder that I thought but It will fix alot of proplems down the road. Now the fenders will set straight, can run a wider tire, can fit a 48" rear end instead of a 58".

One wheel well almost done. Cut down one of the fenders so I can use it to get a good line in the back of the wheel well. snaped a couple pics before working on lining up the fender.

Just a curious question, are we about at ride height now?
And is that the tire diameter you will be using?

Just trying to sort out proportions of the tire to the fender in my head here..

The tire is a 235/60/14 on a 10" wide rim about 25 1/2" tall (tire is off another car was just checking clearance). The fender isn't sitting right just yet. Drops down about an inch on the outside (just wanted to snap a couple pics). I think in the end the back of the tub (because of a 6" kick up in the tin) will ride at 18" the cowl area will be around 12" and the front end 6". should have a nice hotrod look.

After removing the fender 30 or 40 time. Got the final fit, now just have to finish the fender. I'll spare everyone from pics on the other side.

Last of the pics for 3 or 4 days

Unless you want a repeat of the last 4 days. Or just flip your screen over :D. filled in below the door, had to remove more metal then I wanted to. Fill in at the door opening, door sets 1 1/2" lower then the floor so just cleaned it up a little.

Dang, Mike, you do good work! That thing is looking really good.

Seriously nice work

Thank's guys, It is taking shape, no longer a heaping pile of junk. I can now claim it a rust bucket :D. And before I'm rat-ed out, yes I listed it locally on CL for an ungodly price  just to see if I could get any hits or complaints or maybe some work on someones project for cash (one can dream:rolleyes:).

Today I finaly got back on the Nash, been working on OPP the last week. Got the other wheelwell cut out today and almost back together the inside edges of the teesquares are about where the inside of the tire should ride now. 1 1/2" on each side.

She is 100% tin all around

Wheelwells done and finishing up under the drivers side door. And before anything gets said about the paint (Skull) just the stuff on the underside is getting some paint for a little protection.

Nice work, Mike. Are you tired of welding all around on those 1" square tubes?

Bob it gets old with all that 1"

Moving slow but got the other door bottom done and set the tube back on the frame today.

Quick up date

Well worked out a deal on the nash stuff today, will be leaving this week end. They are going to stay here in Grand Junction. The guy is finishing a model a bucket up then going to start in on one of the nash's. Real cool guy, we BSed about what i had in mind for them and he is thinking on the same lines as me. Told the guy about the site and the build thread I have going on them, he wants me to write down the info for here and is probly going to be taking over the thread.

nash touring

i remember back in the mid '70's, when i lived in orange county,ca, there was one running around with a sbc in it. the reason i remember it was, the license plate said NOT A T. he said he must have been told a hundred times. nice t you have there.
