Thanks guys, I believe I'm going to name it the holy roller

I like the look for sure!
What do you think of the shock angle Mike?

They are setting at 60 degrees, pics make them look more like 45. They cycle real well on the jump test, no more spring board.

No part time job for 3 days, mocked up the steering box, so more drilling and plating. god willing, rolling chassis this weekend.

Because I like to incorporate thing into one, fish plate on my z and steering box mount all in one, form and function.

Ruffed out some more plate for tomorrow.

Dr that steering stuff is cake.

Well didn't make rolling, nieces birthday today so building lost out. Did finish all but two fish plate. Then of course I changed my mind midstream on how I was doing the rear suspension, found the other leaf spring I had, so I decided to go quarter on that to. So I got a small start on the rear of the frame. maybe I'll get a couple short days at the PT and get the other rear end under the frame and the rest of the suspension in.

EMan in the last 10 years I have had 8 good nights of sleep, all of those drugged up in a hospital bed.

Heres a couple pics of my old hobby before I jacked up my hand.

Thanks guys

Eman I hope it sales before I get to the interior, but if it doesn't I have some nice beatlekill pine that would make a nice interior.

For what it's worth it is now a roller, still have more to do but she is holding her own.

I'm loving the quarter elliptical rear!! I was hoping to be able to do that on mine but I hadn't seen it done yet. How are you planning on keeping the side movement in check? Panhard bar?

Had a little time to drop the body on and roll it out to size it up. Wanted to make sure things ended up as planned before adding any more to it.

Looks great Mike.
I like the rear wheels tucked in like that.
There is an old frame and axles for sale on CL near me that has a front and rear spring set up like yours.
The guy thinks the car was a Gray. Can't say that I ever heard of them. Looks to be early 20's most likely. Every time I see the listing I think of your build.
Torchie.

PM sent Mike.
Upon closer inspection of that older frame it looks to my old burnt out eyes that the front spring is mounted with the arch towards the ground and the rear spring is the other way.
What do you think.
Torchie.

I'm more surprised in the fact that the springs are the only attachment between the frame and axles (2 link) no drag or panhard. I did search some on the gray and they ran in 1921 to 1926. All pictures I found had the same setup but also had a belt strap from the frame to the axle, probably to limit axle drop. So far I'm digging the 1/4 set up, I have done symmetrical four links, bones and ladders so I know all about side axle walk but even with a come along pulling from one side the the other it is real hard to make the axle walk.
