about 2 or 3 weeks it should be done[cl

windshield

l put in a piece so the windshield will have a place to bond to when it gets "glued" in this week.

l still have to weld a little around the body where the window channel meets the body and is slightly cracked & clean the channel real well so it bonds all the way around.

Boy, she's coming together for you, skull. Have you ever considered making a sun-visor for this car? I really like sun-visors so I want you to be the guinea pig and try it out and I'll be the judge.

gas cap

l took a "FUEL" lid off a 1969 cuda that was broke off at the hinge. then a locking gas cap with no key and mated the two so l have cool gas cap for the car.

l'm going take a little steel wool and shine it up after it dries for a few days so l don't disturb the glue.

pain in the butt

gas tank neck & filler tube are in, such a sharp angle on the hose it took longer to figure out how to get the kink out than to do anything else today.

half way thru the the back panel my hole saw made a unexpected funny noise and stripped the part where it attaches to the shaft and jumped up an nailed the body line, so l had to drill the holes out and ream in-between the ridges to get the filler neck in.

at least the "FUEL" lettering is in the correct place when the lid is tight.

this is supposed to be fun,,,,right[S

OH well, now some pics,

my cousin came over and told me a "ring" behind the gas cap would help give it a finished look.

so we came up with this.

luck

wish me luck[S

first official car show with trophy's and awards tomorrow, still not running so it'll go there on the trailer and get off loaded in the show area.

don't really care if l win anything but l hate not being able to drive it but at least she's there.

pesky bills, like a house payment & the power company wanting money to keep the lights on are getting in the way of my building hot rods budget

one redeeming feeling is l will drive Jimmy's dodge truck and show it too:D

Yeah Skull....have fun....

If you get a trophy or anything......give us some pics.....but don't take a bite out of it......:D

Let the good times roll! It cooled down for some reason here last night and i had the Earthmobile out for the first time in a few weeks. These old homemade cars are fun bud! You won't be just another nameless face when you go somewhere now :D
