I took the truck on its first road trip to Cars and Coffee in Jacksonville Fl and an Autocross (just to watch) in Amelia Island. It ran great and had no issues other than it being 46 degrees outside and no side glass or heater. You do get some heat circulation off the engine by leaving the rear glass open

I love it when something home built and unfinished draws a bigger crowd than the lamborghinis and ferraris

I started working on the bed sides. Using 20ga. steel and grafting in two VW bus engine vent louvers on the drivers side and a solid panel on the passenger side.

Started the sheet metal work under the doors on the cab. The tubing will serve as the bottom of the rocker panel.

Also going to rebuild the cab corners.

Temporarily held in place with a piece of angle iron.

Ran out of time, just need to smooth off the tack welds tomorrow

Everything is painted inside and out

While building this truck, I wanted to make sure that I could park it inside my security fence and close the gate

Thats got to be at least a 1/4" to spare!

Also got some work done on the drivers side

Started smoothing off the hundreds of tack welds on the headlight filler panels.

The neat thing about driving something that isn't a shiny or bright colour is that it blends into traffic and most people don't notice until you drive by, then you can read their lips "What the #$&@ was that?!?"

I bet this thing is much the same!
