Any opinions/thoughts on this I copied below? A brief read and a couple of short videos. Some of this I have been aware of, and some of it is news to me. Seems credible and very scary. Worst case here is a little information that may make you and your loved ones a little safer.

There are two brief video interviews of this expert linked at the bottom of this letter…

Food Riots, Tax Rebellions By 2012...Trend forecaster, renowned for being accurate in the past, predicts.

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, http://www.trendsresearch.com/index.htm is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

"We're going to see the end of the retail Christmas....we're going to see a fundamental shift take place....putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree," said Celente, adding that the situation would be "worse than the great depression".

"America's going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for," said Celente, noting that people's refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as "The Panic of 2008," adding that "giants (would) tumble to their deaths," which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, "The world's middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest," and that, "The middle classes could become a revolutionary class."

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

"There will be a revolution in this country," he said. "It's not going to come yet, but it's going to come down the line and we're going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen."

"The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That's going to be the big one because people can't afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You're going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop."

"It's going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we're going to see many more."

"We're going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It's going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It's going to come as a shock and with it, there's going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people's minds weren't wrecked on all these modern drugs – over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody's comprehension."

So there you have it - hardly a nutjob conspiracy theorist blowhard now is he? The price of not heeding his warnings will be far greater than the cost of preparing for the future now. Storable food and gold are two good places to make a start.

Gerald Celente, well-known trend forecaster is interviewed in the following links in which he details the clear reasons that the U.S. economy imminently faces the biggest collapse in history.

The quick three minute summary interview with Glen Beck is found at

If the audio on this one does not begin immediately, try waiting as much as five minutes on pause while you do something else. For some reason the audio lags behind in loading. But it is worth the wait.

Prudent leaders will see the profound evidence and implications presented by Mr. Celente.

The following link to an interview with Howard Davidowitz makes a strong case for the lifestyle change that's coming to us all, like it or not.

It is highly important that you and your family take seriously the situation at hand and consider the difficult changes that you need to make now before you are forced by circumstances to suffer needlessly later.

I am somewhat isolated out here in the country. I am sure if this starts in, the big citys will be the worst.
It did not help that we find out taxes are being dodged by half of the white house staff. Makes me not want to pay mine. That and if I pay my taxes, are they just going to give it away to some bank?
Hopefuly we can avoid the extreme of this prediction.

Mayan Long Count!

Check these websites on the Mayan Long Count Calendar... the most accurate calendar even conceived. It suggests we are in the end times on a 26,000 year cycle with the planets aligning on Decenber 21, 2012. Pretty interesting reading actually!

So I have about 4 years to get all my projects on the road. Well, nothing like a deadline to get a guy busy.

Some think 2012 will be the end. Lot's of bad juju prophesied.
I was online reading some predictions made by a reputable prophet and they were bad, real bad. Only they were made in the 90s about the late 90s and early 2000. None of it happened.
However, my 2 cents here. It is proven that the earth goes through a pole reversal and a huge shift about every 22,000 (some say 26,000) years. Remember the quick frozen mammoths in Siberia? Some were even frozen in mid stride with tropical vegetation still in their mouth. In the past 20 years the Shumann resonance (earth's frequancy) has raised from the 7.9 it was at for as long as we know, to about 12.9 where it now sits. Predicters claim when it hits 13 the shift will take place. Also the earth's magnetic fields have been weakening greatly. I can't remember the numbers but it seems around 20 some percent in just a few years. Many indicator's point to 2012 as the shift. Some even have it pinned down to a specific day in Dec. 2012, like the Mayans.
I spend quite a bit of time on several boards and it is amazing how many people sense something is coming. Also amazing is how many think hoarding assault weapons is what will get them through it. I am pretty sure that love and compassion for your neighbor will get you a lot farther than paranoia and a bunker and hoarding mentality.
If I have food, anyone who is hungry is welcome at my table.

I agree completely. I think they are way off. I was thinking maybe by Christmas we could have food riots!

2 funny!!!

Note to self: Better get on that bucket list... QUICK!!! :D:D:D

My engineer coworker Namboo is always rambling on about the end of the world in 2012. Never could understand him until you guys explained it. Mrs. Moron was rambling on the other night about the tent cities that are growing exponentially. She also said there were guys who are hired by the banks to clear out the property left behind in the foreclosed houses. Everything goes to the dump-new wide screen flat TV's, new furniture, everything. I don't understand why a bank wouldn't try to sell it to get something back for the house. Apparently these guys are cleaning out an average of 18 houses per day....don't know which city that's in.

About 5 years ago I had the thought that I should be putting up a windmill for energy and converting to a corn-burning furnace. I could harvest my own heat and harness the wind for power making me virtually self sufficient.

Just like Bonehead said, there is comfort in isolation! We're always one of the last to feel the economic effects here in NW Iowa. Agriculture provides a fairly stable environment, but the big $ the farmers made on their crops is going to catch up with them. The cost for seed corn, fertilizers, etc are all going to be so much higher this year than last; it is sure to catch many by surprise. That will lead to higher prices in the grocery store, at the pumps and many other places by the end of the year.

I don't know that I subscribe to "the sky is falling" pandemic, but things are going to be tough, for sure.

Did any of you read what I posted?
Read it or at least watch the first 5 min video.

I am aware of the Mayan calendar and the general discomfort concerning Dec 21 2012. What I posted above is not about that, check it out.

I have never been one to pay any attention to the guy walking around with the sign saying "THE END IS NEAR" nor do I listen to the folks with the tin foil hats.

This is different, Gerald Celente founded an organization that watches hundreds of current events, everythng from the econimic events around whe world to the condition of the family to the political events world wide. Then he and his people coralate this info and he makes predictions on coming trends. He has be very accurate in the last 25+ years.

YOU NEED TO HEAR WHAT HE IS SAYING IS COMING IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS!!

I did read what you had posted and watched all the videos. I believe that all the additional posts are relative to your original post. Rationale: This is a capitalist country. Capitalism is an economic term. "When the machine breaks down, we break down." As the economy collapses and we fight to survive by only being able to buy food, revolution ensues. Revolution is the end to the former regime and a new beginning following a different route, in other words the end of the world (at least as we know it). I did find the swing from debt to savings to be quite astronomical-and positive.

No, we can't follow the example of the first depression. There were no taxes back then and no national debt. Borrowing $ to pay interest is like eating poison. It fills you up and then kills you.

We have to spend differently, Crane Cams is just the first of many novelty companies to shut down.:( The sky isn't falling, it's just extremely overcast.

Q: Are we going to reach the Mad Max level?
A: It would be naive and dangerous for us to believe that things could never sink to nearly that level. Which is precisely why folks like Gerald Celente are so adament about getting the message across now to warn people of where we are heading.

Thanks for sharing the story maddog. Depressing & frightning, but something we all must take seriously. It has me thinking about saving up rather than spending the $ on autoy projects...what a disturbing thought!

Then he should have seen this coming a long time ago. This shouldn't be anything new. We all knew the bubble had to pop someday.
We are the product of our own efforts. This isn't about "them" or "they", it's about us, we caused this, every one of us. It is about us spending money that we didn't have, money that didn't even exist. Us, right here. Credit card debt, borrowing money for non essentials, newer car, boat, rv. Borrowing money for vacations, recreation. Then when the economy gets shakey they loosen up more credit so we refinance, buy a bigger house, get a new car because they are zero down. The best thing our government can do is suck up, quite spending money, forget bailouts, we can't spend our way out of this mess. Let the correction take it's course. Stop futures trading. People need to suck up too, and they will be forced to. You best try and get debt free, get a garden plot, get self sufficient. If it all turns out to be more "sky is falling" you will still be a lot better off in the long run.

I am pretty sure that love and compassion for your neighbor will get you a lot farther than paranoia and a bunker and hoarding mentality.

That's a very nice sentiment .......................................Till YOU run out or your over run by those who would take yours and leave you for dead! My ammo Cabinet is full and if they CAN steal my food I can hunt a deer or turkey, so I'm set either way.

The idea isn't hard to imagine. Just walk through a scenario of what would happen in California, for instance, if the funds for all entitlement programs instantly dried up. - within days - riots, burned neighborhoods, crime - then martial law - it would get ugly quick. Then what? - no government money for intervention in the devastated hoods and no prison to put rioters in - loss of utilities, no food going in, etc. - reduction to total anarchy and no foreseeable way out.

I'm changing my name to Snake Plissken.

I agree with your premise to a point, what does a collapsed economy mean? If our economy collapses , will any thing continue to function ? All our food comes from far away, it is brought on trucks, stores are restocked daily, Would the distribution system be able to function in a collapsed economy . I think not,who would protect the trucks from being hijacked, where would the fuel to run the trucks come from. What trucker would be stupid enough to take his cargo of food into a city . Your right food will be the catalist . We could very well be fighting to survive - but there might not be any food to buy . Imagine a Katrina like breakdown in every city , at the same time . Even if there was a functioning govt the need would be impossible for the govt to respond to. If you prepare and it doesn't happen -eat your food. If you don't prepare and it happens-you die .
