This was a truck we built 2 years ago and shipped to a fella in San Diego, CA. These shots were taken recently at Goodguys Del Mar. The paint & lettering on the doors is original and the real deal. Dig the single digit phone number for the town switchboard operator...

Yes it was. It was one of the most solid '35-'36 cabs I have come across in a long time. The lettering on the passenger side was not as well preserved, but it was still there. That was a fun little truck...
 
51 F1 front end patina

This had some nice real patina. Too bad it's long gone now. :(

Here is a few pics of my real patina, including my back seat. And yes , that is real bird crap on the roof,, I'll clean it off when I get around to it !!! Let's see them nice street rods do that !!!!!

not to bad for the real deal...but the lettering on the bed is a little too far gone to see

Can't tell about the one on the right, but the one on the left isn't a 39....might be a 38 though. 39 had the headlights IN the fenders, not above them...here's a shot of my 39....with about 90% of the original 39 paint

Hey! I think my '48 fits the bill. Wish I cold keep the white dust too - gives it that just found in the barn look.
