Ya know, $ 15,000 isn't all that bad for a brand new body. I was in a shop one day and a guy there was building a new 68 mustang fastback. The body came in a huge crate and it was really a nice start. I think it cost him $20K if I recall.

If I had the money I would buy one, sure beats fighting rust.

My first thought was, I wonder if this will devalue existing cars??

The ragtops haven't went up in value for years anyway and there are already so many of them that I don't think it will matter. Too bad they didn't do a fastback instead, it's the only first gen 'stang that turns my head and way harder to find than a rag top.

I have had coupes, and converts, but I still have my fastbacks.
I think the FBs are more popular.

And more rare.
When I grew up and those cars were pretty new, only girls drove the ragtops so I still see them as girly cars can't help it.
In East Texas, where I lived, girls still get a new Mustang 'vert when they turn 16....and a set of hooters for graduation.
