Micro$oft running a car... NO THANKS!!!

Yeah, that's scary. I don't even want Microsoft on my computers, much less running my car. There are many reasons why I migrated to Linux years ago - the main being to avoid those damn blue screens of death.

are fuel prices gonna kill peoples cruising and car show participation this year?

Fuel prices cut out most of my cruising/swap meet/car show participation several years ago. I made a good portion of the Texas swap meets in 2006, and the Turkey run in 06 & 07. I went to a couple of the Dallas/Fort Worth area meets in 2009 - 2010 but after that my participation has been nill.

    Most reliable electric fuel pump?

I've had good luck with the Holley pumps. I've had the blue on several of my rides, and I ran the red pump on my Ford diesel truck.

    What to make

I've used them for extra air storage in the garage/shop, used for airbags, and a friend of mine who was into 4x4s would add an engine driven compressor to his trucks and mount a couple tanks so he'd have air available in case they needed to fix a tire or something.

    Cad program

Should be able to use Google Sketchup, and there are a few free CAD programs out there but they're crippled compared to AutoCAD/Solidworks. I actually went to college for Drafting & Design, but never did much work in the field afterwards. Designed a few machine parts and a couple houses and...

when she was mine/pic's of cars gone away

I know exactly what you mean. I don't have any pictures of any of the 49-50-51 Fords, the Econoline vans, the Falcons, the 65 or 69 Lincoln, the 17 T Bucket, any of my stash of flathead, 289 HiPo, and 430/462 MEL engine bits, or the shop itself. I also have no pictures documenting the build on...

when she was mine/pic's of cars gone away

It's easier for me to just link my website gallery. Sadly, almost all these pictures are post the December 1996 fire that wiped out my shop so I don't have pictures of the really good stuff that I had back then. Only a couple pictures of my old 64 Galaxie and a 60 VW that I owned in high...

When I get ready to do a site upgrade I may give you a shout. I need a nicer banner and maybe a footer & background for my friends shop website. And speaking of websites, I see you're running Wordpress. If you need any advice, tips, or tricks give me a shout. One I'd suggest since I just...

    Hello from S.E. Okla.....!

Yep, that's him. Hey, you don't happen to know of a guy named Mike Kelly over around the Durant/Calera/Colbert area? He'd be around 40 or so, used to tinker with Fords & 4 wheel drive stuff mainly. He lived in Paris until the mid late 90s and moved up that way. I lost touch with him quite a...

Must read for all IH guys

I've never owned an IH vehicle, but a couple friends of mine tinkered with Scouts for a while and I really liked them. I did have an IH/Navistar 6.9 in my now stolen 85 Ford truck. I understand that design was based on the heavy duty gas V8.

    Hello from S.E. Okla.....!

Welcome to the site!! Where in SE Oklahoma are you? I'm from around the Paris, TX, area but currently on the east coast. A good friend of mine builds rat rods in Paris, there's a guy south of Bonham that's on here, and there's a guy over in the Sherman/Denison area who tinkers on stuff but I...

    Hand cleaner

I used to take my greasy/oily clothes to the self-serve car wash, hang them on the side of the bay on the mat clip things, and pre-wash them with the engine cleaner, soap, and a short rinse. Then take 'em home and run through the regular wash. However, after I had my shop fire at the end of...

    Car Warriors 2012.

House is one of the only shows worth watching IMO and it's ending this season. But then most, if not all, of my friends would tell you that I'm a real life Dr House except for the Dr part. I've got the limp down pat and I tend to have a rather misanthropic view of humanity. I also have a bad...
