The running boards do tie it all together. The front fenders looked oversize and "out there" until the running boards arrived. You did an excellent job on them.

Once again, thanks all for the comments!

I couldn't agree more. Damn, it looks good!

Seeing it outside and from different angles really puts things in perspective.

I'll shut my stupid trap about the headlights, now.

The idea for moving the headlights lower is not dead yet! Just need to let the idea percolate for a while to come up with the best way to come up with new lower mounts.

What color are you going to paint this one?

Black is at the top of the list though I am sorely tempted to spray bomb the wounds and bare new steel and put it on the road next May or June...

This car would be WICKED in black...... Just as everyone else has said so far, amazing work on the car ! [cl

I'd go with a dark dark green (or close to the original color) - flat metallic. Maybe with gloss black fenders and running boards.

Or bomb the shiny metal with as close as you can get to the original color - no prep work, so it'll blend itself in faster.

After a few days of rolling around on the creeper, I got the exhaust put together. 3" pipes, Superflow 2 chamber mufflers (Flowmaster ebay clones, 1/2 the price :D) and Pypes SS tips. The booster / master cylinder takes up the whole left side of the frame so that pipe had to dip down, though it still doesn't hang below the runningboard.

This is a sweet piece. I liked the look of the car even before you shortened it. But more so now, bagged and skinned, some wicked.
What ever color you paint it, it'll be spectacular.

I was having clearance issues between the upper A arms and the fender braces when aired down - solved with the installation of these tube A arms from G Body Parts - they are nice and compact, light and cheap too, $218.00 for the pair including ball joints and shipping from NC to Canada. They also fit S10 front ends and would really improve the looks for those guys running fenderless S10 front ends.
Not shown here, I also had to trim some off the fender braces too for tire clearance when aired down.

Time to fill the gaping hole up front with a new grille. Using 1" SS angle iron for the surround, I heated, beated and welded it to fit the opening. [;)[;) I'll be adding a 1/2" center bar then 3/16" rod for the rest of the grille.
