Inside woodwork is pretty much done, the curved panels that go in the rear corners will be made by the upholsterer from PVC sheet. Back seat goes in now (rear seat from a Mazda MPV). It folds forward for storage behind it and for access to the air system and battery.

Seats are in, steering wheel on, lots of little odds 'n ends done. Today I got the doors on, tomorrow the windows go in, door panels on and maybe a test drive :). I'm not so sure I like how shiny the plastic side pieces on the seat turned out, I might spray some flat clear on them..

Off to see the wizard..

Loaded it on a U-Haul today and took it to the upholstery shop, probably be done by end of next week. In these pics, it's almost raised up as high as it goes to clear the trailer when loading and to keep the tailpipes from dragging. Looks almost like a 4x4 sitting that high  - average ride height is about 3" lower.

The real question is did it drive on the trailer under its own power?:D Looking amazing ZZ,gonna be a very cool ride..

looking great ZZ.. definitely one of my favorites

I was watching Loud and fast (gas monkey garage) and they were walking through a junk yard, and there was a 34 cad.. yours is so much better than stock.. I think he said something about not wanting it cause it was a 4 door.. he doesn't have the cojones that you have

Oh yeah, not a winch job - I did about 10 spins around the cul-de-sac before driving it on the trailer. I didn't have time to get the timing and carb tweaks done so no burnouts yet... I'll have to settle for Dr.C's photoshop for now...

Corpo, I just watched that episode of Fast n Loud and just about flipped when I saw that 34 Caddy. I think that's just not the kind of project for those guys - too much work for their 'slam together in a hurry' style. I have to wonder how they keep going with so many of the project cars just breaking even or losing money - seems like the reality show pays the bills....

I wonder that same thing every time I watch it, it also kinda shows that it is very difficult to make money building cars, although I havent been impressed with much of what I have seen on there builds...

You should go save that other 34 and build a stocker to park next to yours at the shows!

What thread you posting to?

BTW, my post above was supposed to say it looks good without fenders on it even... [cl

Corpo was referring to a recent episode of Fast and Loud when they passed on a 34 Cadillac a guy had in his yard, somewhere in Texas.

No prob DRat, I agree, it looks kool with or without fenders, but then I am somewhat biased in my opinion..

Here's a sorta crummy pic I took at the upholstery shop today, the headliner is in. I went with cloth on this part of the interior for a more retro toned down look.

Brought all the rest of the sheet metal and misc parts in from the shed. The fenders, hood and light parts are only epoxy primed so far, time to massage them into shape and bring out the bondo again, still lots of work to do. Oh yeah, the garnish mouldings need to be done too but they are at the upholstery shop... ho hum, a new layer of dust to add to the garage.
