Not just for the Canadians eh? I enjoy a good cup of tim hortons when Im in upstate NY.. plus Burger King owns them now.. becoming more american everyday.. haha
Time for a break from metal fab to switch to wood butchering....
Made up all the wood panels for the upholstery to attach to - easy to do at this stage instead of waiting 'till everything is painted and worry about gouging and scratches. Rear seat will just be scratch built on these plywood bases. Though the upholstery job won't be getting done until next year, this saves me a couple bucks making the panels myself instead of having the upholsterer do it.
So after cutting off the mounts for the driving lights and preparing to move them in father, I had a sudden inspiration and the plan took a hard left.
I've seen these teardrop lights before and just realized they come with amber turn/park LED lenses with a see-thru chrome finish. Figured they would be a nice match to the Indian headlights, continuing the teardrop theme.
Made up a couple pedestals similar to the ones for the rear lights from 16ga. and 18ga. scraps and mounted them up.
Also made some new running board side trim from stainless bar stock and mounted them with studs welded to their back sides.
