1948 F1 frame and steering ?

I have a 1948 f1 ford truck. I want to take the truck off the frame and Z the frame so the cab is over the frame. I want to keep the factory front end under it and buy a disc brake convervion kit from classichaulers.com and shorten the box and use a 9" rear end out of a 1971 ford torino. My question is will the toyota steering box kit still work? Classichauler.com sells that kit also.
