Now I see your dilemma with the width at the rear.
Looked closer than that in the previous pics!

I'm still tuned in, its looking great!

Pics can be decieving DR. They sometimes even make my welding look good[;)[;)[;).

Hood width will be taken care of with some long, narrow pie cuts. By using a portion of the rear of the F hood I hope to gain not only the use of the hinge system but also the contours that already match the cowl.
When I take the bracing out of the back of the 41 hood it will become more pliable making it easier for me to merge the two hoods. At least that's my story for now and I'm sticking to it.
Just came in from starting to reorganise the shop. Hopefully some profile pics to follow soon.

Hey Torchie, I'm glad to see you have been able to make room in the shop. So cold here I can't get any work done and I'm loosing steam.

Same here gold. Jan/Feb cold and its not even the middle of December :(
The boat went to Florida. Maybe it should have stayed and I should have gone.:)
Hoping to get a couple of the troops here to help me move it around so I can get things organized and move forward on it.
Stay warm brother.

You missed your chance to be a stowaway!

You missed your chance to be a stowaway!

You are right DR as this is what it looks like outside the shop right now.
Being unwilling to wait for help I decided to move everything around myself.:D
It wasn't pretty but I got it done.
A before and after shot. Still have to clean off the bench:eek:
Now I am able to take a good profile shot of the truck.
Hopefully more tomorrow. If I can move that is:rolleyes:

I thought they were gonna transport the boat in an enclosed trailer? [S Guess it's their problem now, huh?

Shop looks good. Wish I had that much room enclosed. Working under my carport is OK, but in cold weather, not much gets done.....

Lookin' good! I know about the cold, too.... -30 here two days ago.

The day the boat was picked up it was around 0 with a minus wind chill. Crazy for December.

Some people just don't listen Bamamav.[S
I went around and around with them about that. Plus that trailer hasn't traveled farther than a mile since I got it with the boat. I was assured by the new owner that the transporter would check it all over including greasing the wheel bearings if neccesary.;)
Guy showed up. Threw some lights on the trailer. Didn't even check the tire pressure. Handed me a one line bill of lading with no inventory of all the parts packed inside the boat. Told me the boat was now offically in his care and that I was no longer responsible and drove off for a 1600 mile trip:eek:
I can't even imagine what it looked like upon arrival. :(
As you said it is their problem now......

Some nice progress going on there.
[P

Thanks Mike. Just not moving along as fast as I would like. Looking to get some traction on it now.

Wow Torchie, it sounds like that guy came off of that stupid TV show! I've been trucking for 27 years and I'd never do some of the stupid stuff they do. Hope the guy makes it, but he may end up buying a boat!

Nice to have working space, Torchie. Add a little insulation to that knee wall and you can work in comfort. Truck looks very good from a distance. Er, I didn't mean that the way it sounded.

I hear you Bamamav.
Just when you think you've seen it all they go and invent a new kind of stupid.

Funny thing is bob. That's the same thing my wife says about me.

Just a quick update in regards to the boat.
Recieved an e-mail that the boat arrived in GREAT SHAPE and that I had done a wonderful job on restoring it. [cl[cl[cl[cl
Now back to our regularly schedueled program..........

Now back to our regularly schedueled program. Or so I thought...

Had every intention of spending the day working on the custom but my daily broke down so I guess that I will have to deal with that first.

Hopefully they do not lower it, it may cause you to walk around in circles?

I walk in circles as it is DR[S

Got the leg fixed and hopefully the sore back from the fall will start to quiet down as well.
The leg tech took one look at it and said"I'm impressed". I have broken everything from Titainium Bolts to Kevlar recepticles to Stainless steel pylons. And pretty much everything in between.
They just keep on upgrading the components.
