Been awhile since ive posted any progress. Thr car has been running great! My awesome wife got me a new holley 2 barrel for my bday so i couldnt wait to get it bolted on! I used the stock manifold an bought a cheap adapter off fleabay. Well the adapter was way small for my carb so i made a plate to bolt it up. I did a little engraving on the plate to make it cool! It really woke the old girl up! I just scored a completely rebuilt head off craigslist for $70 with a head gasket set!! What?! The guy never used it on a project so his loss was definitely my gain. Im gonna lump port it an i have a 260h cam thats goin in. The old 6 banger should be able to hold its own then! My son also got me a cool metalflake steering wheel and tach that i got installed. Next step is a turbo! More updates soon so in the meantime, Let em rust!!!

new work to the hoopty!

As usual its been awhile since an update! Took her on a couple of 500mi roadtrips without any "major" mechanical issues except for a couple fouled plugs an no wipers in a freakin monsoon in branson,Mo The oil press was a little low an i knew the valve guides were needing some attention so i started finding parts cuz it was bone stock so i wanted a little more power. I found a fresh head with 1.84/1.5 valves and ready to go for $75 on CL! I took it apart and blended the bowls and cleaned up all the ports. I didnt put in lumps but i did switch to z28 springs which will help with the. 499 lift cam. I also scored a set of crower rods an ross pistons that were in a boat for cheap too. Im building a custom intake for it also. Should run pretty decent for a big heavy car and didnt break the bank doin it! And my dog wishes it had a/c! Keep the rusty side up!!!!!!!
