I fixed a couple of little things in the third carb today, and found a little spring missing in the distributor so I robbed an old distributor and replaced that spring. I'm pretty sure dirt in the gas line was my big problem so I put an inline gas filter just in front of the splitter log. There is one at the back of the truck right after the electric fuel pump, so now there are two filters.

This morning I took the truck for a six mile test run, and gave it the thumbs up.
So now it's put away in the shed and the Fairlane is backed into the shop.

Yep, having multiple projects keeps idle hands out of mischief or however that old saying goes.

On another test drive I thought I was running lean at 70 mph, especially on the uphill parts. I'm going to put back the 'light spring' power valves in the front and back carbs. Right now I have plugs in them.
