I fixed a couple of little things in the third carb today, and found a little spring missing in the distributor so I robbed an old distributor and replaced that spring. I'm pretty sure dirt in the gas line was my big problem so I put an inline gas filter just in front of the splitter log. There is one at the back of the truck right after the electric fuel pump, so now there are two filters.

On another test drive I thought I was running lean at 70 mph, especially on the uphill parts. I'm going to put back the 'light spring' power valves in the front and back carbs. Right now I have plugs in them.

I've been unhappy with the 1157 bulbs in my taillights, so I replaced them with LED's. I already had LED's in the front signal lights so I thought I had exchanged the 'bimetal strip' flasher with an electronic one but I hadn't. That became obvious quickly, so I changed out the flasher and all went well.

Cool on the led lights Mac! I have changed most of my trailers over already. In my current project, (upgrading my c10 on everything) while having the bed off during the paint project I used leds temporary for lights in the rear. I could tell they were brighter. No need to have another person handy or setting up a mirror behind the truck to check the signal lights and brakes. The led lights lit up the barn when I tested brake lights and turn signals.
