Now I need to start thinking how I'm going to attach the 8.8 to the frame. Think I'll go with Checkered Racing's 4 bar kit. It has heavier duty rod ends and should handle good and take some drag strip abuse.
Been thinking more about the rear susp, what would you all think of using S10 leaf springs? I have a pair of Viking adjustable shocks, I could use 2 leafs, cutting the second a couple inches behind the spring plate, and fabbing a set of traction bars similar to the Caltracs. I have everything but the 3/4 CM rod ends, even have 10 ft of DOM tubing. I'd run sliders at the rear.
