65 Malibu SS Vert

Brought this home last night. 65 SMB 4spd car.A friend bought it from a guy that has had it for years but hasn't touched in 2 years and wanted it gone so it came home with us. It came from Ca. so it is very solid, looks like one quarter is bad sofar. Anyway the plan is a complete rotisoury resto on the body but the drive train and sys with be totally new LS3 6spd and a whole lot more. We will start by putting all back togeather to see what if anything is missing and how the fit is then after I finish the 37 I am doing it will be full bore resto mod. Sorry about the dark pics but that's all I have now, more to come if you guys want them.

Project L-SS is under way. We got it stripped down to the last body bolt I made some brace's for the door openings and off came the body..This is going to get interesting real fast. We will be test fitting the new motor & trans tomorrow, figured it would be easier with the body off.

1st test fit on the motor and trans, everything looks great and may not need to do the tunnel rebuild we thought we were gona have to.[ Have'n the body hanging worked out great for fitment!

The motor and trans are in the tunnel cut and we torched the springs to see how much tire we can put under it. Looks so much better 5"s lower.

Got the rotisserie built and the body is on it and works great! Its going to be so easy working on this and I am looking forward to it. Now all of it needs to go to the media blast guy.
We also got the NOS never been bolted to a car rear bumper today and it still has the black goop on it. what a find!

I ran out of propane in my shop and can't get any till Friday so I spent the last couple days at my buddies building a new trans tunnel. The new 6 spd wouldn't fit in the original so I built a new one and got the quarters cut off before it goes the media blasters. That new trans is huge.[

Strapped it down to the old dolly I made for the Puzzle then loaded up the rotisserie and it will get rehung on it there.
