65 Malibu SS Vert

After about 100hrs of detail sanding and moving it all back to the owners shop it is finally painted! Today I will wet sand the clear and put 2 maybe 3 more coats and then done. Wish you guys could see the color in the sun it really is something.

Its Martian Senior the top of the line stuff don't know the #s off hand but its called Switch Blade Silver. Its a C6 Vett color.

Got the main body polished so we could unwrap the underside. Sorry the pics aren't to good they were taken with my phone.

It is coming together slow but sure,alot of wiring that needs to bee totally hidden. We hope to have it running this weekend.

Top is on, the body is going together, glass is in, and its running and man it sounds soooo good. Have 12 more days to finish it for the Syr Nats.

Thanks guys, I know its a bit to shiny and way to nice for my tastes also but its what he wants and believe me its just going to get crazier. The interior parts are just starting to come in and we will install as they show up. I was hoping to have it on the real wheels and tires today but time wouldn't allow for them. All the glass and window parts are new after market and well, as you know bolt on don't mean chit these days, its all crap that needs to be made to fit. But I press on because its close to being done.

It is getting very close. Should have the seats today. We have named it the Switch Blade, for many reasons but the dam thing keeps changing every time we put something else on it, pain in the back!!! Bolt another part on and it changes how other parts fit in a big way, just crazy what it does.[S

Ya, I can't wait to get them off and get the real wheels and tires on.

By the way, all those are,are GM space saver spares. They are cool looking wheels but not on this.

I am almost positive the correct wheels and tires are going on today
We have been working very long hours 12 to 14 a day and it is really starting to come together. While it may not look like a big change it is.

Project "SwitchBlade"
Worked till 2 in the morning last night. Finally got the wheels and tires on along with a bunch of other stuff. The pic doesn't really show the wheels to good on the car but they do look great. Took it out on the 1st test drive at 1 in the morning, all I can say is WOW! Got some better shots of the underside while it was on the lift.

I agree but its not my money and the final decision was his, I just build them.
He did listen to me one a lot of things but he was stuck on the black wheels.
I also lost out on these stupid stick on emblems on the front fenders, to me they just look cheap. But most everything else is top shelf.

It is done. Long Long hours and a lot of sweat and worries went into it but I can say I am proud of our latest creation and wonder what we could possibly do to top this one. It truly has far surpassed what we were hoping for in the ride and handling part. So smooth quite and steers so flat at any speed we have put it through. I would love to get it on a test track to really see what it could do and maybe with a pro driver.
