Not sure I would go that extreme with the black-out and "monster" theme, but you never know. Of course this is something that will have to wait while I get something else I can carry parts and tow stuff with.

Previously, and another one-of-these-days things, it was simply a dually swap scheme.

Well, the '88 came from New Jersey, so it has some issues, but nothing really bad. The '90 is from Californya, so real clean. Guess which one runs better? Yup, old Trusty Rusty.

sounds like my junk. The 350 in my suburban came from my rusty old k10 because it ran better than the stock 454 that was in the burb

Ah darn. That's what I was considering, but have too much to do already!

Had my local exhaust shop bend me up some pipes to kick the tailpipes out in front of the rear tires.

I had them do the bend at 70* and then once they are on I will trim then ends at the same angle even with the body.

Awesome. I did the exact opposite to an 88 k-5 blazer several years ago. I even took the time to paint it. I miss that thing...

Tailpipes are on and cut to length.


I have to admit. It sounded much better when it was dumped straight out of the mufflers. But at least we wont get fumes inside and might be able to talk inside the vehicle.

^ I agree, put the truck back together as a 2wd, it can be done, it is no more difficult than putting the 4wd stuff in the sub. I know, I've done it. And I sold my leftover project for enough money to get my driver painted all one color.

the pickup is gone. I sold what i could and scrapped the rest. The frame was getting thin and had cracked in 3 different spots.

The wife and I took the Burb to the drive in movies about 40 miles away last friday to watch furious 7. Over all it did really well and it got alot of looks when we were pulling in.

Took the Suburban to a local judged show last month.


I got alot of interest and people couldn't believe that I converted this from a boring old 2wd 3/4 ton. And I even took home a top 75 Award!

I figure you guys might also like something else I have been messing with.

I am an automotive painter so I am not new to paint, but I am new to applying it with a brush. I did this tailgate for my daily driver F250. I think with a little more practice and some better quality brushes I will be ready to do some panels to try to sell.
