Wife wanted to enter her 48 in an "All original car show" put on by a local club. It turned out to be pretty cool. Put photos here because they are not hotrods or ratrods.

I had never see a Muntz in person before. This is a 52, kinda cool.

I'm interested - beautiful pics BTW. Your wife's '48 is nice too, although it does sit kinda high and it has way too much windshield. ;)

Never heard of a Muntz either...[S. Impressive though...love the buford!! Thanks for posting

Muntz manufactured televisions and hi-fi's. He must have liked cars too:D

Thanks for all your kind words guys.

The owner of this Durant says he's had this car for 47 years. 17,000 original miles on the speedo he tells me.

Thanks for the photos c-dog. It's interesting to look at the original cars. I often think of what a nightmare it must be to hunt down the correct parts in good enough shape to restore a vintage car to original condition. I'm glad people do it because it's a pleasure to see the history preserved. I'm pretty sure the Muntz Jet's used a lot of parts from other production cars as far as driveline and suspension, but I would imagine the trim parts are made of unobtanium.

Fabulous stuff Cycledog. I'm always fascinated by the unusual stockers, especially the engines, like that Stutz, (or wait, is that a Deusy engine?) can't help thinking how they would perform with some modern carburation and a better intake. Of course that would ruffle some feathers:rolleyes: I guess.......

Little bit of trivia,Henry Ford's wife drove an electric

Guess that would make sense Hank Ford and Tom Edison were good friends.
