Roll the cab onto its back. I knew there was a couple rust spots. But I found a couple more. Will start picking Adam one by one

Tack Friday!

More sheet metal work on tack Friday! Lol I got up early came to the shop to tack weld things. No early bird shopping for me. Got the floor patch panels all done. Gave it a good cleaning roughed it up with a scotch-Brite pad and applied a liberal coat of por15. Starting to look like a truck again

Thanks gents!! I enjoy the metal work.!! The second one didn't come out quite as nice as the first one but it is definitely better than the rusty hole that was there. Three coats of self etching high build primer and I will wet sand it and primer it a couple more times before we apply some sparkly blue paint

Filled holes for fender top blinkers, finished bumper delete plates and started patching the inner fenders. Some people shouldn't work on cars. Fiberglass over rust isn't a good solution

Got the other inner fender repaired tonight. Also got the body work 95%done on the front clip. Frame is dropped off for powder coating and hopefully back next week!

Normally it's about 300 bucks for them to sandblast it and coat it. This one might cost a little more because it was previously powder coated and it doesn't like to sandblast off as easy

That was the way the Bondo kit instructions said to do it in the 70's. Nobody was looking for a permanent fix, just make the POS look ok for a couple more years then scrap it.
