Can someone shop this for me plz?

I'm looking for satin/flat black with red wheels, medium width whitewalls and chrome hubcaps and lowered a little. You can remove the trim or leave it, whichever is easier (my truck only has the hood chrome, not all down the side like this one).

Man you're good at photoshop, that looks incredibly real! [cl

I'm still trying to make up my mind. If I go black it'll actually be satin, a lot like the picture of yours when it was wet. Plus mine's a shortbox, i'd run chrome bumpers and beauty rings on the wheels. But, the more I look at my truck, I think the patina isn't terrible. I can't make up my mind so i'll throw it out out to you guys. Either way I want it too look more like a rat and less like an old farm truck asap. Since this pic I brought it home, removed the brush guard and polished the grille.

My truck currently;

There's a truck here in the u pick . It has all the chrome , everything but wheels and dash panel . It's a custom cab . They want $ 800 to $ 1000. for it .

It might be best to find a 64-66 bed that matches the cab body lines, but then you need to deal with cutting the frame. What year? 61? I can't quite tell from that pic. Looks fairly solid. Are the front cab mounts still intact? Two other things I'd suggest - front disc brakes and if you want to lower, a drop beam - otherwise your axle is real close to the frame and pan.

It's a '62 and that's the bed Ford put on once people started complaining about the unibody's, they didn't have one made for the new trucks so they slapped on the '57-'60 beds, like your '63. I knid of like the quirkyness of the bed not matching, plus i've seen some '59 caddy looking taillights that fit that bed.

Do you think my patina or the flat black would look better?

Go with the patina fer now. You can always paint it, but you can't change it back. See how it looks with the wheels. My caps are earlier 50's Ford caps. I've got a set of white dog dishes, but I like the chrome.

I don't know if you checked my build thread for that truck, but I shortened the bed a foot or so when I customized it. It's part '65 bed part '63 bed.
