So this is what I'm starting with, I'm going to say its a '20 Dodge Brothers touring car. My idea is to use the frame with the leaf springs in the front and buggy springs in the rear and bolt on some 3/4 ton mid '50s stearing axle and rear end. The I-6 292 motor and 4spd tranny I'm going to use are out of the same donor truck. As for the body I'm not sure if I'm going to go with the full touring body or cut it down to a roadster, we'll have to see how much room is left after the running gear is bolted in. And yes this is going to be built on a very tight buget and outside in the dirt.

Very nice!

It's amazing that these cars still look "solid" after 70, 80, 90 or even 100 years. I wonder how our modern cars, let's say a 2005 Toyota, will look in 100 years.

Best of luck with the build! :)

Looks good,Personaly I would throw a shortened truck bed behind it. keep us posted. I guess thats what a rpu is? roadster pick-up

Really cool and the I6 makes it even cooler. I love how you almost never hear "I have an unlimited budget" here. It is full of guys that have to do it on the cheap. Keep us posted on your progress.

well apparently I cant upload any pictures, but the bodies off, in half and sitting back on the frame. I've been pondering the idea of sectioning the back half (from the middle of the rear doors and back) to the front half (middle of the front doors and forward). That way I would have the suicide doors which are bigger and about 2 feet of extra leg room. I also have this other idea of a dash/double firewall to hide all the wiring, battery and other stuff.

Those sound like REALLY cool ideas.

WOW! 2 feet of snow.:eek:I would be insane by now.
It was 90 degrees here in myrtle beach south carolina area yesterday.
We had a very long cold winter here though. We had weeks of temps in the teens at night and 20`s and 30`s for highs. That is severe cold for here.
I am glad summer has come to sunny south.
Nice project car you have there.I like it.Will be wild when done.[;)
