Dont waste your money on one of these things. The 18v battery only lasts about 2 minutes if your trying to cut steel. I bought mine for scrounging parts off of cars in junkyards and fields. I would have been better off buying a new hack saw.

i have a Dewalt 18 volt drill and sawzall combo and i love it. the drill has a ton of torque and the sawzall runs for quite awhile on a fresh battery, but not as long as the drill does. i just put a roof on my house and the sawzall was a real treat to use, no cords, nice....

I've had my 18 volt ryobi saws-all for about 4 years now and use it all the time for cutting clips off cars in junk yards. the battery lasts a long time on a full charge until i get to the uni body structure on a car where the metal gets thicker.

I'd defiantly buy a new one if anything ever happens to mine.

I should've bought the Ryobi. All my other tools are Ryobi so the batteries would work. The only reason i bought the Black & Decker is because Lowes didnt have any other cordless sawzalls, and i figured seeing it a very popular brand i wouldnt have any trouble. Thats what i get for thinking.

I pulled a steering wheel yesteday out from a car in back of a field. I figured the easiest way to do it was take the sawzall and cut it through the column. Its only 2 pieces of pipe. It took me 4 trips to get it because the battery kept crappin out, and because i forgot other tools. In the end, i used a hacksaw with a blade that resembles a butter knife. But i got it! I'll post pics soon on my thread "Hillbilly's dash project"
