Try hitting the stuck wheel with another spare tire and wheel, the mass and weight seems to pop the rim loose, An old fella showed me that a long time ago and it’s worked for me 99% of the time.

Thanks for all the suggestions gang.
Living where I do stuck on rims is a usual occurrence. Mostly they are just going steady and a couple of kisses with a hammer is enough to break them up. This rim and hub are married. 3 kids and celebrating their 10 th anniversary. This is going to need a full on divorce.🙀
I do plan on replacing all the front end components, snopro. Just not today.
All I want to do is get the mock up wheel on so I can move forward on ride height. Body channel and what size tires to buy.
And just to make things real fun I’ve been dealing with BP issues again. So the results from bending over is always a surprise.

I persisted.😎

What you accomplish with what you have to work with Torchie is an invaluable
example for the rest of us. Thank you so much for these posts!

I like that stance right there.
I'm looking to keep it that way, Mac. Just lower.

When I sectioned the body I didn’t cut through the door skins. I opened up the door skin flange. Sectioned the inner door and moved it up.
Today I trimmed the bottom of the DS door skin and hammered it over.
Now you can see the full rocker panel and there is a gap between it and the bottom of the door.
Not perfect . I can work with it though.
I did this so I can work on fitting the door better, overall.
Next is the outer door edge at the Bottom of the B pillar jamb.
That’s for tomorrow .
Keep on keeping on...

That's really looking good Torchie. Your door gap looks fine in the picture anyway - plus it's down low, and if you lower the car more, heck nobody will be able to see if it's perfect or not. The stance is nice, and if you lower a little it will only get better. Keep up with the hydration especially in the heat!

Thanks all.:)
My concern with door gaps is that they will be too tight,Bill.
Its a lot easier to add metal to close the gap then it is to have to take it away.
Weather broke here last night.
High of 71 today. More like it's supposed to be.
Moving slow today. That door is heavy. Even stripped out.:eek:
The stance is getting there. Now to drop it down.

Back in 2014 I was at the Spokane Goodguys show and the 2014 Ridler winner was there. That year was the first win by an owner-built car. The car was built by a BC Car builder and I got the chance to see it right up close. Once the passenger door was closed, I noticed how it fit. The top of the door was flush, the bottom of the door was recessed by at least 3/8". The ground effects and everything matched up, it was a twist in the door that was an oversight during fabrication. Most of the panel fitment was really good, but noticing something like that on a Ridler car, I'm much less concerned about perfect fitment on my stuff now.

looks great! i always tell the guys who nitpick things on my trucks that its lightyears easier to edit than it is to create. :)

lookin good torchmate[cl[cl[cl[cl

Thanks Gang.:D
Snopro. I always keep the big picture in mind. I learned that along time ago from the first Body shop manager that I worked for. We nitpick our own stuff but he taught me to step back at look at the whole car. Not just focus on the area we fixed. That advice has served me well over the years.
joedoh. I had a guy nitpick one of my builds once. I told him to come back and talk to me when he's built something other then a plate full of food at the local AYCE buffet. Was that harsh?????:p
Speaking of nitpicking.....
More door work today.
Pic. 1. 2 prong issue here. The inner door frame was hitting against the door jamb. And the bottom of the door needed to be pulled in more.
I solved the rubbing with a vertical relief cut. Tapped the inner door frame over and tacked.
After that the door opened and shut 10 X's better.
I then made a horizontal relief cut and used a cinch strap to pull the bottom into place. More tacks.[;) [;) [;)
Much better now.
The quarter panel patch I made needs some loving as well, It was the first of 2 and of course the second one turned out much better.[S
That's it for today. I've had enough floor time.
Keep on keeping on.
