DIY Suicide Door Hinges

I didn't like the style (and cost) of new door hinges so I made my own out of 1/4" steel bar. I think they turned out pretty good for my limited tools and skill.

I drilled and tapped the backside of the hinges for a threaded stud. Drilled a few holes in the cab/door and added a backing plate and bolted them on.

good idea -- how big are the plates -- got a picture of the inside?? i made some similar to this and didnt like them -- but i also didnt think about just putting them on the outside -- probably dig them out now lol

The rough and raw look of them on the outside of the door is what I liked about them.I want mine on the outside too.[P[
