I was 24 (so roughly 8 years of car ownership) before I finally figured out that this means "switch the positions of all 4 tires on your car for equally distributed wear" and not "jack the car up and manually spin the tires for no apparent reason".

Its underneath the light, inside the casing. Real PITA to get to, but be careful cause its next to the muffler bearing grease nipple. [cl

Someone on a VW forum I am on found this on craigslist.

Even thou an air cooled VW dosent have a radiator, they did have a thermostat.

My muffler bearing is screwed. And worn out due to the fact that my headlight fluid is low ! And my truck runs so good on sailboat fuel !
