Well i am in a tailspin now. The original motor in the Model A gave out months ago so while i debated what to do i focused on the speedster sitting next to it in the garage. It didn't have much left to do anyway. So fastforward to the point where nothing left but wiring the lights and paperwork. Warming it up for a test drive around the block and it blows out the rear main seal pouring a heavy stream of oil on the floor.Never ever heard of this happening. A drip could be expected but this would have emptied the pan in 30 seconds. Oh well i will just focus on putting the Ranger four banger into the Model A which is more important to me anyway.
Fastforward to a couple of days ago, the motor and trans is in the Ford and all that's left is getting the driveshaft cut down and i will finally be back on the road after all these months (and money) . Start the motor and now there is no oil pressure. Flow out the filter but not a drip to the pressure gauge. New oil pump and still nothing. Motor is worthless without oil pressure. More months and money. I'm depressed. Feel like i have been sucker punched twice.
Very strange.
