Dang It

Saturday a friend of mine and I went to visit another friend. We're all old guys, 73 to be exact.
The friend we visited was our local drag racing hero. He won the Nationals and the Winter Nationals in a Willys years ago. Then campaigned a Funny Car for several years. He ran a successful auto parts store and had a highly respected engine machine shop, building street and race engines.
A couple years ago he began having a little trouble talking and some confusion doing the shop math so necessary to machine engines.
Now, my friend can say "yes" and "no" along with a few other short phrases. He understands a fair amount of what he hears but it takes a while to digest it. His life has been reduced to the basics. No driving, no working at the shop, no hobbies.
It breaks my heart.
So, my fellow RRR members fill every day with life, love and hot rods because you never know...

Truth spoken Bobw, we all take our good heath for granted
not being able to to things we used to do routinely can really be frustrating
but being able to still do somethings is worth everything.........

What was the last instrumental song that was played regularly on the radio?
I think it must have been a long time ago.
