Ok, first kick me for not thinking to take a camera. I went out with my b.i.l. to haul some stuff from a ranch. I see a junkpile and we go over, not sure on ownership but the guy whose place we were on runs his cattle in there so we crawled the fence and check it out. First off there is a real straight 49 Ford tudor body. But in the junkpile is layers of old car stuff. A pretty decent 38-39 Ford truck cab with doors, fenders headlights. A 47 Fleetline all hacked up, pieces all over the place, with the three stainless ribs on the fenders.
Then there was this cab I couldn't quite figure out. The front fenders and grille were there by it and the grill knda resembled a 40 Ford but fatter bars and a little taller. The cab is on it's back but appears to be a hacked off panel truck. It has part of the spare tire indentation remaining right behind the passenger door but it's definately not a Ford. Who else had a side mounted spare (late 30s I'd guess)? And with the heavy vertical grill bars?
As soon as I find out who owns the stuff I will go back and take a camera but I also plan to bring the stuff home.
My buddy picked up a windshield frame he swears is from a 33 Ford 3 window. I also fond a 33-34 Ford back fender so I'm hoping there might be more of it under the rubble.
And we aslo found what I believe to be about a 35 Dodge tudor body, pretty rough and piled full of barbed wire and steel posts. It had a Briggs body tag.

I think that the dodges had the spare tire recess in the side... But I'm no expert

definitely get us some pics to look at!

of course its in the dakotas.........everybody has old cars in their field in the dakotas[dr[dr:D

hope you get to bring home some of that gold mine, we'll be waiting to hear about it-and see some pics![P

34 Dodge Panel

Hey Willowbilly3

I think a 1934 Dodge Panel is your find. I found one long ago.....full of trash with a tree growing up thru the engine compartment. Wanted it BAD!!! But, of course, "not for sale".
It does have a spare tire indentation behind passenger door. And, I think it is the grille you found. Good luck.

The panel isn't a humpback and has a solid roof, not the open centered one like late 30s Dodge. It appears to have been abbreviated about a foot or so behinf the doors, well into the area where the hump would be. Also it appears the hood would have came over the front grille, similiar to a 40 Ford.

The one shakey posted up was what i was thinking of, i guess we are going to need pictures!
