Gothic bike

Hello everyone I am sorry I haven,t posted in so long but the bike is finally finished and I am glad to have it out of the shop and riding it. I am going to past to see if this is working.

It worked. I built every thing but the springer which was built by a friend in South Carolina. The front fender was a bit of a pain because the overlay had ti index at both ends. The lights also took a good amount of time. A friend braided rawhide over the clutch and brake cables and one of my old rodeo buds covered my seat pan. I wanted a turn of the century saddle look and I think he nailed it. I put hickory in the foot boards like the spokes and curly maple in the hand grips. I rusted and waxed the frame and all tubular pieces. Everything else is nickel plated. I left the lights bright and aged the rest. The riveted overlays are gun blued and waxed. I will pos some picts as it went along and hope you enjoy. Oh for the important part----- My next project. I am looking for an old Harley or Indian barn find bike that is all original. I want to restore it mechanically but leave it barn looking and ride the heck out of it. Any help or any leads would be greatly appreciated. I am posting this so I don,t lose it an then will post picts. Take care Joe

Can't say I'm a huge bike fan (never owned one, don't plan to). But that thing could change my mind. Very cool! You my friend deserve a huge pat on the back for your efforts.[cl[cl[cl

Joe:
Congratulations on finishing. Great job.
I remember the original soapstone sketch on your bench when I stopped by on the way to the Rock Mountain Smith's conference a few years ago.
What is next
