I think some pretty solid forearms would be essential when firing that bad boy.

Naw, you want the forearms to rock...you can shoot it if you let the recoil travel. Trying to hold it down will rip it from your hands.

Hence the Alaskan name.
Fishermen and other sportsmen carry it as last ditch insurance.
