Things took a fun turn today....I started buying pieces to do a manual trans swap when I do my LS swap.

I bought an AR5 5 speed from a chevy Colorado. I also grabbed the stand alone clutch pedal from the Colorado.

Gearing should great for cas mileage.

It probably means the truck cam has to stay. Need to make cruise work quickly. I see a big speeding ticket possible.

At the moment, I'm wanting to move the Seagrave to the back burner and work on this. But, I'm not working on anything....it's too darn hot.

I'm going to try and start on the LS swap this weekend. I hope it goes as easily as I think it might. If not, I'm not afraid of cutting and welding.

I will say it is difficult to stay on track of doing a mild build. I keep researching rear axle swaps and airbags.

A ghetto version of this would be fun. I'm not sure i want that low profile of tire. My wheels seem kinda rare and don't want to hunt down a replacement.

Nope still too hot for real work

I played with an air dam. A couple of weeks ago I picked a Honda civic bumper off of the side of the road. Today I cut it down to see what it looked like under the mercedes bumper.

And swapped bellhousings

And discovered that there is a wiper motor right where I need to stick a clutch master cylinder. WTH?

The air dam looks great! Like it was made for it. I agree with LB50. Who needs wipers?
I found a couple of master options.
Mercedes ran it almost vertical inside the car.

This conversion one for a camaro looks Ike it pokes through the firewall below the booster.

I've been looking at mercedes pics online and it doesn't look easy. There is no free space around the booster.

I did find a pic where it looks like the firewall rises back up outboard of the wiper motor.

Even if I can get the pedals hung, I'm not positive I could get to the reservoir on the master to fill it.
