I grew up neighbors to these guys, twin brothers who farmed together. Vern moved to a rest home in 2005 and his brother Tom drove 40 miles each way to visit him every day. Then when they hit 100 Tom decided it was too far to drive and moved into the home with Vern. Tom died about 10 days ago at 101. Vern died yesterday.

I thinking that one died from old age, the other from a broken heart.
