I love Hemi 6s. I owned a E48 Charger in the 90s (regret selling that now....)Second to last racecar I had was E31 Pacer 245 powered. Such a aggressive, explosive engine for a 6. I'll be into it once it's mounted, power to weight will be soo much better..getting amped to get it home and in.

Well not much has changed. My father has been in and out of hospital over the last couple of weeks. Him and Mum fly out to Fiji today. Once they get back I'll have to get on his case about the Hemis..Can't really do much until it's mounted in case I need to chop the tunnel out...

Got absolutely sick of waiting for the pined after Hemi. Have gone totally left field and bought another in line 6, this time a 4.0l SOHC Australian Ford. These are 210hp standard in efi form, but efi is something I don't particularly like. I'm going to take all the junk (injection and loom, and the equally hideous coil pack ignition) off it put a distributor in it, put a Holley 4bbl on it. Oh and a blow through turbo.

Dead day at work. This happened. Ford is quite a bit physically bigger. Needs to go back another 100-150mm

Sold some of the old Holden goodies, headers and a Brand X 2 barrel intake. Bought a lightweight flywheel, and got another clutch with it. Need to remove motor and box out of the chassis so I can change flex plate for flywheel. Also need to buy mounting hardware for flywheel/clutch. Also bought a single point injection manifold to replace the stupid "snail" manifold that's on it. I have the remainder of my Holden stuff and my Chrysler spares on Trademe (auction site like ebay) which closes on Saturday. I'm buying a brand new electronic distributor from ebay Australia once the bits sell. Also going to buy all my new brakes, steering and suspension from RockAuto. Busy times ahead

Steam cleaned the flat intake. Looks far too clean. Oh well. Went and saw the company that produces our dump truck bodies. Asked to raid scrap bin, stoked to have some involvement with the project. Cut out Ford bottom plate and Holley top plate out of 8mm. Raided our scrap bin and got some 3mm. Had issues trying to cut it straight so bought some 75x3mm flat. Cut out tonight and hopefully get it tigged together tomorrow. Anyway some pictures.

Cut the sides out (roughly) on Thursday night. Took them to work, shaped up two ends, workmate tacked them into place. Shaped up the other two ready to be tigged up. Workmate was called out to a breakdown so he didn't get it done. I received a text this morning to come and get it. I'm stoked with the results

Well all but 1 distributor has gone, as well as the 4cyl 4speed I had. Still waiting for distributor. But it's all going to grind to a halt very soon. The h 57ealth system in NZ has approved surgery on my wrists. I've been waiting about 18 months of pure agony. Our country went into lockdown for 6 weeks and with that they "fixed" themselves. It's been terrible. But an end is in sight
